Raja Plastik Indonesia already had a website for its 3,000+ wholesale plastic product catalog, but the old site felt dated, was hard to navigate, and struggled to keep up as traffic grew. So this project redesigned it into a faster, more modern experience with clearer marketing and credibility content.
Work like this is usually split between a developer, a UI/UX designer, a graphic designer, and a marketer. On this project, one person holds all four of those skill sets, so every decision came from someone who understood the whole project, not just their own part of it.

Business impact here is measured across 5 areas: Presence, Quality, Trust, Conversion and Growth. Together they cover how the business is found, perceived, and acted on.
Thousands of products, all genuinely findable
Before
The old site’s structure made it genuinely hard to navigate through thousands of products, information technically existed on the site but was effectively buried, with no clear way to find what you were looking for.
After
A clear, categorized structure now makes every product actually findable and browsable, so scale works for buyers instead of against them.
Each project draws on a mix of disciplines: here’s how they came together on this one.
The tools and technologies that came together to bring this project to life.

The problems that came up while building this project, and what came out of solving them.
Scaling for a 3,000+ Product Catalog
The redesign needed to handle thousands of product listings without sacrificing browse speed, so the catalog structure, queries, and VPS resources were planned carefully.
Page Performance With Many Product Images
Thousands of product images risked slowing down the catalog page, so lazy-loading and consistent image compression were applied.
Withstanding a Bot Traffic Spike
A wave of automated bot traffic spiked server load and slowed the site to a crawl, resolved with Cloudflare, a custom fail2ban rule that auto-bans IPs showing scraper-like request patterns, Nginx-level rate limiting, and database indexing.
The technical problems fixed while building this project.
Restored uptime
Images under 200KB
Fast browsing at scale
Server health monitored proactively
Backed up and recoverable, not one failure away from gone
Before
A wave of automated bot traffic spiked server load until the site slowed to a crawl and became unreachable for real visitors.
After
Cloudflare, a custom fail2ban rule targeting scraper-like traffic, Nginx rate limiting, and database indexing brought load back to normal and kept the site reachable.
Before
High-resolution images across the site, not just one section, risked slowing down every page.
After
Every image across the site is compressed to WebP and kept under 200KB, keeping pages fast without a visible drop in quality.
Before
Browsing and filtering through 3,000+ products on the old site felt slow and clunky as the catalog grew.
After
The redesign optimized catalog queries and structure, keeping browsing and filtering fast even at that scale.
Before
Without monitoring system load, disk, and RAM usage, server health issues under a growing catalog’s scale could go unnoticed until something actually broke.
After
Ongoing monitoring of system load, disk, and RAM usage catches resource issues before they become downtime, keeping the server healthy as the catalog grows.
Before
A site with no SSL certificate and no backup routine is one server failure, hack, or expired certificate away from losing everything, with no way to recover.
After
SSL, routine backups, and site speed optimization were configured from setup, so the site stays secure, recoverable, and reliable if anything ever goes wrong.
