Rak Gudang Heavy Duty already had a website for its industrial racking catalog, but it felt dated and didn’t make it easy for prospects to assess technical specifications or the company’s credibility on their own. So this project redesigned it into a faster, more modern experience.
Work like this is usually split between a developer, a UI/UX designer, a graphic designer, and a marketer. On this project, one person holds all four of those skill sets, so every decision came from someone who understood the whole project, not just their own part of it.

Business impact here is measured across 5 areas: Presence, Quality, Trust, Conversion and Growth. Together they cover how the business is found, perceived, and acted on.
Filterable by what actually matters, not everything at once
Before
Without a clear organizing structure, browsing the racking catalog meant sifting through everything rather than filtering directly by what actually matters to a buyer, like load capacity.
After
The catalog is now organized by load capacity, so a buyer can filter directly to what fits their actual need instead of browsing everything.
Each project draws on a mix of disciplines: here’s how they came together on this one.

Inconsistent Product Specification Data
Every old product brochure used a different specification format, so it was standardized through ACF custom fields for consistency across all product pages.
Catching Bot Traffic Before It Became a Problem
The site occasionally saw bot traffic probing for vulnerabilities and scraping content, addressed with fail2ban and rate-limiting before it could escalate into the kind of outage seen on other projects.
The technical problems fixed while building this project.
Contained before it could become an outage
Images under 200KB
One consistent spec format, every product
Backed up and recoverable, not one failure away from gone
Before
Occasional bot traffic probed the site for vulnerabilities and scraped content, the same kind of pattern that has escalated into a full site outage on other projects if left unaddressed.
After
fail2ban and rate-limiting catch and block suspicious traffic before it can ever accumulate into server-crippling load, keeping the risk contained before it becomes an outage.
Before
High-resolution images across the site, not just one section, risked slowing down every page.
After
Every image across the site is compressed to WebP and kept under 200KB, keeping pages fast without a visible drop in quality.
Before
Every old product brochure used a different specification format, with no consistent structure to build a reliable product page template from.
After
Custom ACF fields standardized specification data across every product, ensuring a consistent, reusable structure for every product page.
Before
A site with no SSL certificate and no backup routine is one server failure, hack, or expired certificate away from losing everything, with no way to recover.
After
SSL, routine backups, and site speed optimization were configured from setup, so the site stays secure, recoverable, and reliable if anything ever goes wrong.
